    Look for webbing, possibly could be spider mites. If you don’t see webbing or a different pest… are you watering with tap water? Calatheas can’t process things in it and excrete it through their leaves, could just be that!

      I only use distilled water and I haven’t seen any webs. Is it normal for the leaves to excrete sap?

    Out of all my Calathea’s the makoyana is the only one that does it and I even water with distilled too. Completely harmless and commonly known as crystals. I just make sure to give it a wipe down more often.
