Does anyone know the potential problem for my leaf to be doing this? Is it just getting old and dying? It has a new leaf coming too so does that mean it’s ok?

Stress, Maybe the roots saturated? Does it currently get sunlight or grow light? How about humidity? Seems like a dampness issue to me.
0 J'aimeIt gets sunlight and grow light since the area it’s in doesn’t give off much sunlight at all, It doesn’t get a lot of humidity, i mist it every once in a while
0 J'aimeTry giving it more humidity. Sometimes a cause from the grow lights is plants droop a little but I think humidity mainly.
0 J'aimeAre you talking about the leaf being stuck?
0 J'aimeIf you’re talking about the leaf being stuck, it’s frequently a humidity problem. I wouldn’t advise misting your plant regularly as that can cause all sorts of fungal issues, but you may be able to take a warm, damp cloth and run it along the leaf where it is stuck to help it come out. I’ve also seen them come out on their own after some time. I had a Florida ghost leaf stuck for a week ( and it was in my cabinet with 70%+ humidity) and it eventually worked itself out.
