I have a prayer plant that isn’t doing so hot and I can’t for the life of me figure out how to help it get better. It was doing fine until I was 5 days late watering it about 2 months ago(I had been on vacation) Dr.planta At first said it wasn’t getting enough water so we changed the watering schedule, but then Dr.plants changed its mind and said it was getting too much water so we changed the watering schedule again. A fellow plant lover suggested I may have had it in a spot that was too sunny so I moved it to a shadier location and another suggested it may be too cramped in its current pot so I repotted it and it still won’t bounce back, I just want it to live and be healthy again 😭😭 I’m still pretty new to gardening :( photo below is in its old pot

Oh nooo it looks so sad. I would take that watering bulb out and give it lots of humidity. Plus water it with distilled water and see if that helps. It should help.

I have since removed the water globe and swapped to a pot that draws water up to the roots from a reservoir below, I do normally just use tap water 😬 so I will try distilled water and more misting! :)

These types of plants are very sensitive to everything. Definitely like humidity and mineral free water. Be careful with fertilizer too. No direct sunlight unless it’s filtered, but they like bright light.

Gave mine a good sunburn before I figured out the right bright light but INDIRECT is key!

Mine went the same when I'd overwatered!! It's currently shrivelled and black 🤣😭 but it's starting to push up a little bit of new tissue so I'm hoping it bounces back. Praying for our prayers with you 🤣

Don’t give up if the main stem still has life. I almost killed mine a few times and it was down to one leaf before I started to figure it out and it is still alive and growing now. lol

      They also don’t like drafts.

Ah good to know!! If it got down to stem I may have just cried and assumed it was dead 😭😭 I won’t give up on it until it’s dry and brittle xD
