Hello! a couple of months ago my white fusion started getting a little crunchy- there no pests or anything so i’m not sure what’s up with her

    The most common cause is probably low humidity. Second guess would be underwatering or irregular watering. Third is the plant doesn’t like your tap water. Maybe high lime content. Calatheas seem to be sensitive to certain minerals in some locality’s water.

      i thought humidity but it’s in my bathroom that gets super humid due to me and my housemates showering. i think the watering is okay but i think you’re right with the type of water. i’m by the coast so my water is chalky. i’ll start using rain water - hopefully that’ll be better?

      not sure it’s humidity as it’s kept in the highest humidity room- the bathroom with lots of housemates showering hahaha

      i was using tap water but maybe i’ll start using rain water?

    Yes they're very sensitive to fluoride and chlorine in tap water, rainwater would be okay I think not sure what last light heavy metals like aluminum and barium, they're spraying the skies with these days 🙄 I use water from the zero water pitcher which takes all the heavy metals and chlorine and stuff out but then I also have to fertilize to put the minerals back into the plant cuz it pretty much strips the water by purifying it
