Hi, all my plants have thrips and I need good advice on getting rid of them plz!!!

    You have to go nuclear with thrips. Bonides systemic granules and jacks dead bug brew or insecticidal soap. Be very thorough with the spray treatments. Treat the entire collection at the same time. Spray twice a week. You should be able to wipe them in a month or less if you’re diligent. GL 🫡

    please look into the epa safety warnings on systemic granules before deciding to purchase and use them. if you’re using it on plants in your home, it can cause heath issues even if applied with proper ppe since you, family members, and pets would be living in close contact with the toxin. i see these granules recommended all the time for mild issues such as fungus gnats (where they only disguise the true problem— overwatering, lack of airflow, and/or soil that is too dense) but very few people talk about their toxicity. i believe that we should be spreading more awareness about the potential dangers as well as the benefits of products we bring into our homes so it’s easier to make an informed decision about choice of pesticide. i would recommend starting by hosing the plants off and giving them a daily spray down with a gentle insecticidal soap, like dr bronner’s castile soap, for 6-8 weeks or until all evidence of pests is gone. thrips are difficult to eradicate so i’m wishing you the best of luck.
