I received this from a friend and repotted chinese evergreen from a vase with no drainage to a smaller pot with drainage (per its root ball size) but unfortunately it’s not recovering from this transplant shock. What should I do? Did it do something wrong?

I thought this was an avocado tree! I’d just give it some time. If you’re really concerned check the roots and make sure there isn’t any root rot.

Haha yeah it’s very droopy. The roots are very healthy, I had checked when I was repotting last week.

Sometimes they just look sad for a long time. If it’s not putting out new growth or looking less droopy in like 2 weeks I’d check the roots again, but it probably just needs some time to recover. Some plants are really dramatic. Haha
