I’m using diatomaceous earth to kill thrips on one of my plants, and it has soaked up the water from the soil, because I watered the plant not too long ago. I know that it becomes ineffective when wet, does anyone have a solution to keep it dry? Or does it work the same when wet?

Wish I had a solution but this happened to me also no matter how much diatomaceous earth I used. And once you water the plant again it turns into a disgusting goo. And as far a si know when it’s wet it’s not effective.

For thrips I’d suggest systemic houseplant granules, works wet, just be sure to follow all precaution directions

It’s the only thing that I’ve found to kill those buggers

I just treated the soil with them about a week ago so hopefully that will help :)
