Hi everyone! I’ve had this albo for around a year and a half! She came shipped in leca, and she’s been doing great and under a grow light! However, all of a sudden the leaves are yellowing on the outer edges and I can’t find any pests. I took her out of her pot to check the roots and they’re good! She was getting pretty root bound, so I ended up putting her in a larger pot with new leca! Could give me some ideas as to what could be going on?

Yea, it’s under a grow light and the new growth has a lot of variegation! I just can’t figure out why it’s yellowing :(

There are many reasons why the tips of your leaves might be turning yellow, including: Nutrient deficiency A lack of iron, manganese, zinc, or nitrogen can cause leaves to turn yellow. A dose of houseplant fertilizer with iron can help. Overwatering When a plant is overwatered, the roots can't get enough oxygen and can drown and rot. This can lead to yellow leaves, blackened stem bases, and fungus gnats. To fix this, let the soil dry out more between waterings. Inconsistent watering If a plant is overwatered and then dries out too much before the next watering, the leaves can turn brown. Pests Pests like aphids, spider mites, mealybugs, and scales can cause leaves to turn yellow. Temperature Exposure to air that's much warmer or colder than the ambient temperature can cause leaves to turn yellow. Humidity Low humidity and dry soil can cause leaves to turn yellow, brown, or shed. You can try misting the plant, using a humidifier, or using a pebble tray to increase humidity. Too little or too much light A lack of light can prevent a plant from photosynthesizing enough food, which can cause leaves to turn yellow. Too much light can overwhelm the plant and cause leaves to die.

Yellowing at the edges can be a number of things. As previously mentioned overwatering or underwatering. Since it's inlet I doubt that it's over watering. Have you fertilized it recently? If not, I would try that. Also if it experiences regular extremes of wet and dry this can cause yellowing. Low humidity can cause yellowing. You have a lot of options here!

That should read since it is in leca, not inlet!

I’m having similar issues with a few of my plants. Leaves yellowing and then falling off. I’ve tried fertilizer, changing watering schedule, but still cannot figure out some of them. I think I solved it for my Cebu blue at least. It was root bound. Was repotted only three months previously. But still have a neon pothos yellowing, a Swiss cheese plant, and a goldfish plant. I just can’t solve what is going wrong.

When did you do the repot? Have you fertilized it ever? Is it self watering with a reservoir, or sitting in water?

Repotted bc it was root bound. I fertilize in the summer, and it isn’t sitting in water. Nothing in the care schedule has changed up until today when I repotted. I just took it out of the previous pot with the leca, didn’t disturb the roots or anything

So it was root bound, and you repotted today? If i read that right, this may be because of the roots bound. The bottom roots will sit in water longer, and cause a yellowing to usually the lower/older leaves, as their roots are usually closer to the bottom. Monstera don't usually transplant shock too much. But it is possible

Yea, being root bound is what I figured could be the problem! I wanted to see what other people thought in case I was overlooking something! Thank you so much for your help!
