Help! Am I over watering or under watering my ZZ plant if this happens to the tips of new growth?

    How often are you watering? ZZ’s can go quite some time without watering as they store it in their tubers

      It gets a thorough watering about every 40 days per my Planta schedule. But I have been delaying it the last few times because I do feel like it doesn’t need it

    That’s about how long in between I water mine too…have you repotted or checked the roots recently? Or rotated the plant?

    It’s a sign of overwatering but I think your schedule is okay. First thought is that your soil/pot aren’t suited for the plant and therefore never drying properly. Second thought is too much sun without proper acclimation. These guys love sun, not as much as cacti, but they can tolerate a good bit if acclimated. I think it’s physically impossible to underwater a ZZ

    Are you checking the soil before watering? A ZZ should be almost totally dry. I let mine dry out completely.
