My corn plant has looked like this for the past year. I water it once a week and it’s in a west facing window. Any ideas what’s wrong? Thank you!

Once a week is way too much for that size pot. I’d go like every 3 weeks to a month. If it’s potted in that ceramic pot, I’d prob even go longer. My concern is damage might be done and you may need to pull it from the pot to check its roots. And done repot it in that ceramic pot if it was. You need a better pot with more holes for drainage and air.

And toss that meter. It’s useless.

I fully agree with tossing the meter or at least verify if it’s telling the truth by always checking for moisture in the soil using a bamboo meat skewer. Put the skewer all the way in the soil to the bottom of the pot like checking if a cake is baked. Wait a few minutes. Then, look for moisture on the end section of the stick.
