this is a thanksgiving cactus and it’s not draining as well as you think — that’s mold. i’d repot and treat with peroxide. a clay pot will help promote drying
2 Mi piaceSoil is staying too wet too long so mold is growing. I would check for root rot with this much mold.

Didn’t see any root rot so that is a relief!!!
1 mi piaceDefinitely not draining fast enough. If you used a soil with inoculation that may be why it's so prevalent too
2 Mi piaceWhat is soil with inoculation?
1 mi piaceAny "probiotic" or beneficial fungus really. I think the most common one i see is mycorrhizae which is a fungi
1 mi piaceAgreeing that it is staying wet for too long. You can also downsize the pot to allow it to dry out faster, they usually do better when their pots are small

UPDATE! I repotted into a smaller pot ✅, also ceramic pot ✅, with rocks and a soil mix for good drainage ✅. Hopefully my thanksgiving cactus appreciates it! I definitely appreciated all of your help and feedback :)
