Oh no, that looks like thrips damage to me. The best way to treat them is with systemic pesticide if they’re available in your area. I use Bonide Systemic Granules. Make sure to quarantine that plant so they don’t spread to your other ones. I hope that helps a little (:

I use bonide systemic granules as well and also use a peppermint Castile soap, neem oil and water mixture to kill them off the surface. I just had an infestation because I forgot to apply my granules and got a new plant that i didn’t realize had thrips and that took care of it real quickly. Just only apply at night otherwise the light can burn the leaves because of the wet oil, so let it dry

i’m keeping my fingers crossed for you that it’s not thrips, but it does look like it could be — i would hate to use systemic granules, they’re so toxic, and unsafe for kids/pets some alternative options are to blast them off with water — this will require regular treatments. you can also order predatory insects to add to the plant to manage the pests naturally if you can stand it (they’ll stay on the plant where the food is, promise! you can also use natural pesticides that contain Pyrethrin and/or Spinosad
