These are super fussy, need consistent watering and not too much, specific humidity needs, can’t be in drafty areas. Even after checking for root rot and repotting thinking I did everything right, she died on me! I’m sorry someone let you get this as a new plant owner. I killed mine so fast! Good luck 🥲 I’d wait until the soil dries about an inch or so deep then water and keep track of water times and maybe that’ll do the trick. 🤞
1 mi piaceAlmost looks like sunburnt, if it gets direct sunlight, move it away from the sun
1 mi piaceSunburn and or not enough humidity. These are tough for experienced plant parents so it’s not you… theses are picky divas.
1 mi piaceThey’re definitely super fussy. I agree it looks like it’s too close to the light (or in a window that’s intensifying) but could be watering issues. I ended up using a very thin layer of very small grade pea gravel on mine to equalize moisture in the soil. Had a bit of this, at first, but she’s very happy now. Don’t give up.
0 Mi piaceSome crispy ends can also be due to unfiltered water. If you’re using tap water, that tends to have a lot more chlorine or other treatment chemicals. By setting a watering can out for 24 hours, you’ll let the chlorine evaporate out completely (what I do). Or you can boil water and let it cool to distill it even more and be safer for plants 👍
2 Mi piaceGood point! Distilled only (or rain)
