So I am brand new to being a plant mum. I was recommended a Monstera at the store - but heās developed 2 little crispy tipped leaves. Any ideas on how to cure this?

Monsteraās are a great starter plant, and yours looks quite healthy. I read brown tips can be an indicator of low humidity, easily fixed with misting once a week. Best of luck.
1 LikeYah low humidity but be careful with misting as it increases chance of a fungal infection, the bigger water drops can act as a magnifying glass and burn the leaves and also misting doesnāt really increase ambient humidity much, best to use a humidifier but generally I think itāll be fine. I would move it away from the window too as they donāt like direct sunlight but bright indirect sunlight, meaning not directly in sight of the sun.
3 LikesI popped him by the window thinking it would cheer him up š Heās usually about 6fr from the window on his little stand. Iāll try a humidifier- thank you šš»
1 LikeCrispy tips = more humidity. You could mist but I agree it doesnāt do much and can sometimes harm. I recommend a pebble tray underneath or a humidifier
3 LikesOooh not read about a pebble tray yet. Will definitely look into this. Thank you!
1 LikePebble trays help. Misting does nothing for humidity and only introduces fungal issues. IMO thatās a healthy looking plant
1 LikeA humidifier is the best tool to increase humidity.
1 LikeI use pebble trays/humidity trays for my plants itās usually about 50-60% humidity in their area. This could also just be the adjustment period when you move a plant if itās still new. Even within your own home they have to adjust to a new spot sometimes. It will be okay I had a small leaf turn completely yellow along with a little browning on the tips when I brought mine home, itās doing fantastic now.
2 LikesYeah Iāve only had him since Wednesday so heās still pretty new to the environment. Will definitely be looking into pebble trays. Thank you šš»

Donāt worry tbh. Anytime you bring a new plant home it has to adjust. Give it time itāll fix itself. Always remember the plant is used to the climate of where you bought it from, and when you bring it home it might not be the same (temp, humidity, etc) so give it time to adjust to your house climate or wherever you have it. Hope it helps!
