One of my friends asked me to rehab two of her plants (golden pothos and an echeveria) because she is not a plant person at all. Her pothos was in desperate need for repotting (check), but the echeveria needs help, maybe. What does this poor guy even need? How do I get it to look like it’s standard shape? TIA!! This (the picture) is how I got it. It was a 1” succulent at least two years ago from a home improvement store, never given more soil, just a bigger container, and watered enough for it to grow this much.

I’d chop it and make more for a fuller pot later

I would chop the top part off where the leaves look the most concentrated and pluck a couple off the bottom of that cutting to give it a stem. Let it callous then pop it back in succulent soil. As for the rest of it I find it super easy to prop from leaves but I’m sure it works just as well with the stems too. Also put it in a way smaller pot, I also prefer terracotta for my succulents

This elongation is from low light. There's no way to 'fix' it. Upping it's light will help decrease it. But if they want it to look like it did at first, chop the top off and replant it and up the light. Otherwise it will just keep doing this same growth pattern.
