Hey!! I’m kind of a new plant mom, I’ve have my snake plant for over a year & recently repotted him (my cat knocked him over 😭). I noticed though after 3 days he started to open/ spread out. I read somewhere to try & tie a string around him to influence proper growth. I’m open to hear others opinions on the possibly issue though!! 🥺💗

oh there is no need to tie a string around a snake plant. just let it do its thing! the string might do more harm than good.

Thank you!! Is it normal for them to spread/ open up? It’s never done this before 💗

absolutely. especially if they’re growing new leaves from the center. they have to make room, haha.

This variety doesn’t typically shoot straight up anyway, do they? It also might be stressed from the repot. Give it time to do its thing. I have three of these and they grow every which way.
