I think my peace lily is starting to die, should I try and resoil today? I was gonna check out the roots to make sure there is no rot

    I just saw a poster amazed at what 30 minutes after watering did to his peace lily that looked similar to what you got goin on thereā€¦good luck!

    If i donā€™t water my peace lily in time they really start to die. It had only 1 flower and after a while it ended up making 3 flowers. they all died cuz I didnā€™t water in time even though this app said I was still good. Iā€™ve also had it for like half a year and last week the flowers started suddenly dying. Itā€™s definitely a dramatic plant like the other comment said. I have like 15 plants and thatā€™s the only one that started dying a little

      I find that if I follow the app, Iā€™m struggling to keep a lot of the plants in a good state. Iā€™m not sure if itā€™s just that time of year, if this house gets too hot quickly in the morning with a heater (although they are kept away from vents) or user error Some of mine are fine but my orchids and now peace lily is struggling

    I always struggled with orchids. Iā€™ve had 10 different ones before that all died. I have successfully kept the one I have now for 4 months now. I have all my plants in a cooler temp cuz thats just how it is where they are. They need very little water. Hotter temps shouldnā€™t be too bad as long as itā€™s not too hot but maybe the heater makes them dry out more quickly? The peace lilyā€™s definitely need a lot of water. They have to stay moist

      Yeah the app is telling me to water every 14days now, I just noticed that the last one was like 20days ago so I reckon that would be causing it. I might have to just do the old ā€œdip a stick in to see if itā€™s moistā€ trick my aunt taught me with these guys

    And this app isnā€™t the greatest. I kind of just periodically check to see if the soil is dry and I would just water them and skip the next time it says to water it

    You can also look into those bulb rods that hold water so it can keep it moist. Also really good for if you go on vacations. Iā€™ve been wanting to get some

    The app is just a reminder. You should always check your plants before watering. Some have meters and others use chop sticks to check the soil. Peace lilies let you know when they need water, they faint (droop like they are dying) šŸ˜‚. But usually they perk right back up after a drink. I water mine at least once a week (the app says every 4 days). The flowers donā€™t last long, they bloom and then die, thatā€™s normal. If it doesnā€™t bounce back after watering, it may be something else happening. Check for pests and root rot in that case.

      Yeah Iā€™ve watered this morning but she hasnā€™t perked up yet, so I think it could be root rot. Iā€™m gonna take it out of the pot and repot into something with more drainage, I donā€™t think this is the best pot
