Type of mold!! My cactus has these and I kinda just ignore them cuz I kept getting poked… Nothing bad has happened to my plant, but you could easily scoop them out with a spade I think
1 j'aimeThank you I was so scared I was gonna have bugs crawling everywhere !! 😭
2 J'aimeIt’s a harmless mold that occurs when a plant is in consistently wet/moist soil. If you want it to go away let the plant dry out in between watering.
3 J'aimeThank you I was really worried lol!
1 j'aimeSome type of fungus, prolly a mold. To get rid of this, take out the plant and soak the soil in boiling water. To help reduce in the future , reduce watering.
1 j'aimeIf you notice the mold keeps coming back or spreading then the plant might be retaining moisture for too long. Having good airflow, like having a fan on, can mitigate the mold.
