Hey there! I just got this Cobweb Spiderwort plant about 2 months ago. It has had several inches of new growth along with two new baby sprouts! About a month into having this plant, one leaf in the middle of each stem started drooping then went from green, to yellow, and finally to brown where I had to cut off the dead leaves. Now, the leaves near the bottom are doing that same pattern while the ones following it are beginning to droop. Does anyone know if this is their natural leaf cycle or if there is something I am doing wrong and how I can fix it!

But it possibly be over watering? Or too much direct light?

I don’t think it could be overwatering- I usually wait until soil is mostly dry. And for light, this guy has been getting the same amount of light since I brought him home (indirect with a west facing window)- super wierd this problem is just starting now.

I have the same plant, and it’s definitely temperamental! It doesn’t like frequent watering, so I stick to about every 8 days. It also doesn’t do well in direct sunlight, so a grow light might help. I use succulent soil mixed with extra perlite, which it seems to prefer.

Yeah I would say make sure it has well draining soil and that it's not root bound or anything also what I noticed with like my polka dotted begonia was it loved it's a spot in front of the window behind the sheer curtain until it started to get hot out, and then I swear my plant started to fry and turn super vbrown on the tips, so I had to move it back some away from the window 🤷‍♀️
