First occurrence of mealy bugs on beloved Violets. Any tips? Rinsed them off. Planta suggests insecticide. Any recommendations?

    Captain jacks products work really well. And I also will spray the soil with 50% alcohol every few days

    My mother and I are both constantly battling mealybugs! Tons of people recommend the Bonide Systemic but we can’t get it in California or Nevada. I use rubbing alcohol and water to spray the plants. I’ve been bad about neem oil because I can’t stand the smell but there are some with essential oils to smell better so am trying that too.
