I’m posting this because I was watering and when I was watering, I noticed my hand brush something and it was a little bird down inside my plant. I don’t know what happened to it but it’s just sitting on top of the soil and I don’t know what to do for it. Does anyone recognize what kind of bird this is or have any idea what I can do to help it?

It looks young, maybe tried to fly and didn't get far? We have some fledgling doves hanging out in my flower beds. Their parents (I assume lol) are always nearby! They can fly but seem to always be sitting on the ground. This bird looks different but maybe similar situation? I would keep an eye out and see if any momma bird is around!
The nearby adults. They are usually on my porch until I open the door, then fly a little further away. 🥰
Thank you for all your responses. I put some birdseed in a little thimble of water in there this morning. It was still there. It looked fine and when I went to put a few more seeds that climbed in the plant next to it it’s just sitting in there now, haven’t seen any mama birds. My friend told me about some formula. You can get for birds and feed it with a thimble, but it seems to be doing fine and it doesn’t seem to be quite that young but what a precious gift right now as long as it stays healthy and is doing OK you can live in my plants

My mother worked for a rescue and used to feed baby birds who lost their mother’s until they were able to fly on their own. You get Purina dog food and soak it in water to make it soft and then you can put it in its mouth when it opens it if it’s a baby. Then, once they started flying around in our playroom and they could fly pretty well, she would let them go. That’s all i know.
