Where’s the mold? You mean those dark spots in the leaves? That’s normal. That’s part of the plant. Keep it up and your might flower like mine did today (I didn’t even know it was possible)

She’s beautiful, wow!!! 🤯 I’m referring to the mold growth in the soil.

    Sprinkle cinnamon over dry soil

Ok should I wait until the soil fully dries out before adding the cinnamon?

Yes because if wet, it can absorb more water & worsen it. If your plant is healthy, repot it & use hydrogen peroxide solution (3/4 water & 1/4 H2O2 to sanitize roots & stem

That's not mold, That's flowerpot parasol. It's a harmless mushroom that's going to bloom. Don't let pets or children eat it, but otherwise enjoy the show. If it appears very often, it can indicate overwatering, but usually it's just enjoying the good soil

I got that a few weeks ago, I just scooped out the first 1/4in of soil, waited until it was fully dry to water again, and made sure it had more ventilation! I'm definitely trying the cinnamon trick though

I agree with Emma 😁 you should change the pot or punch more holes at the bottom of the pot (if possible). The mold isn’t actually a bad thing, like Emma said, just scoop it out if you don’t like it. I notice my pots need more drainage when it smells like mushrooms-haha strange

    What causes this?

it's a common spore that activates with long-term moist conditions. If you have more ventilation/airflow/drainage it shouldn't be a problem. It's not dangerous though
