How long should I wait to repot these? (Back into these pots with new soil, unless they’re root bound) I’ve seen both “wait so they won’t be shocked” and also “get them out of that soil ASAP” For reference they’re from Home Depot, I know not the best! But how could turn down the clearance section 😭💔

I’ve heard a few different things but I believe if your roots are circling the pot you have to up size them if not your good. And by the looks of it they both seem in great shape and probably don’t need it.❤️🙏🏽

I only repot right away if I feel that the soil is retaining moisture too long or the soil is really compact or just overall bad looking. I would just pull out of pots and take a look at roots… if healthy I usually just leave in growers pot until it’s ready for a completely new pot! Overall they look very healthy. People are always so down on places like Home Depot but in all honesty they get a lot of their plants from the same places as a lot of reputable greenhouses! Plants are healthy it’s usually just that the staff aren’t trained or know how to take care of all different plants :(

I think so too! They seem to care for them all the same. Which definitely isn’t great… Though the one I was at had some signs telling the workers not to water certain plants. So I thought that was a step in the right direction!

I like this book, and this gentleman who runs a Facebook page and gives advice. Following his advice, I don’t repot until it really needs it and typically that is not for a good bit of time. Search “ don’t repot that plant” by Will creed

I rarely repot my new plants unless they look unhealthy or I want them to grow larger. There is no need to rush to repot a plant that looks great. I do wait 30 days after buying one if I want it in a bigger pot. This gives it time to settle into the new environment and new owner’s care routine. 🪴🍀
