What is this yellow stuff??
I think it’s slime mold or a general fungal growth.
0 Mi piaceyellow mold happens when overwatering or when the soil is too wet for too long. i suggest a repot with some chunkier soil or to let it dry out before your next water. you can also just remove the mold from the top of the soil. yellow mold isn’t necessarily bad for your plant but is an eyesore.
0 Mi piaceThat's most likely flowerpot parasol or possibly dog vomit slime mold. Both are harmless to plants. If it's the parasol, you can watch it bloom into a cute little mushroom. You can keep them as companion species if you like, or remove them for aesthetic reasons. The only reason you'd actually need to remove them is if you have curious kids or pets that might try to eat them (flowerpot parasol can cause stomach upset if eaten; slime molds are generally edible but it may have fertilizer or other chemicals because indoor plant.) For aesthetics, just aerate the soil and reduce watering. For complete removal, both can be killed with basic fungicides like hydrogen peroxide or neem oil
