Does anyone know what these little white bugs are on my Emerald Fern? Seen a few of them which I’ve removed, they seem to like this particular spot. Any help appreciated 🪴

Those appear to be mealybugs! I use 70percent alcohol to rid them
1 me gustaAny ideas of what causes them?
0 Me gustaLack of air circulation , brought in on a new plant, overwatering
0 Me gustaYou can attack singles with an alcohol soaked Q tip or spray the entire plant
0 Me gustaCrowded contains no air circulation!
0 Me gustaYup mealybug. I was told kill them on sight, they’re meant to be really bad for the plant.
1 me gustaI’ll get onto it! Any tips?
0 Me gustaSquish them?? I’ve only seen one and was like hey look at this cool bug! And the guy taking care of the plants was like no, kill it. Probably wipe down the plant with soapy water to get rid of any eggs left behind you might not see.
1 me gustaRemove what you can with a Q-tip soaked in rubbing alcohol. Then some sort of wash for your plant using insecticidal soap. There are a lot of great treatment suggestion on google or You Tube. Good luck!
