Hi! My coworker has had these bamboo shoots on his desk for a couple years, but recently they have become increasingly yellow and started producing this white dusty fuzz all over. Does anyone know what it is and maybe how to save the shoots?
Those are mealy bugs! Not dust.

Mealy bugs for sure. Kill them with isopropyl alcohol. Wash it off entirely. Clean every single nook and cranny with neem oil and peppermint oil Castile soap mix! Good luck
