My variegated Hoya Kerri is putting out a new leaf. It’s so far down the stem because a couple of leaves died due to lack of light. Should I trim the stem? How would I do this?

I wouldn’t trim the vine. Hoyas send out runners, they can get pretty long. Eventually it will push out leaves along it, or maybe even blooms. I would probably start it on a trellis soon, so the runner can climb. I never got new leaves on my Kerri before I rehomed it, even tho it had many nodes 🥲
