Has anyone tried letting live ladybugs out in their home to help with pest control on indoor plants

If you can, try to put the plants in a tent instead of free releasing them. Ladybugs will fly away if there isn’t enough to eat and are quick to die inside without some maintenance. Ie, misting so they can drink water. What pests are you dealing with?

Cover the plant under a mesh bag or cloche to keep the beneficial insects from flying away. 🪴🍀

The ladybugs die quickly indoors and will fly off the plants unless they are covered. You can buy breathable fine mesh to cover the plant to encourage the ladybugs, or better yet buy ladybug larvae which are voracious pest eaters. Also the adults need water so mist your indoor plants to help keep them alive.
