I have two Monsteras under grow lights since I live in an apartment. I’m usually not comfortable leaving the curtains open nor is the window area safe. It seems that the window is pretty old so cold air seeps in too much. It also gets too cold. I have them in the corner of the kitchen. When it gets too cold, I also have the heater on. It didn’t look like that before, I can’t remember when. I wanna say it’s the soil but also the heater? Or the frequent temperature change. It did so good during the summer. I want to know my next steps. Do I need to repot or separate them? They seem to be pushing apart their nursery pots too.

Find a wam spot. Inconsistent temperatures, especially too cold temperatures, affect the plants. Warm temperatures and adequate humidity are needed. Grow lights allow you to place them even in typically dark rooms. Check the roots. Overgrown roots would require repotting to a pot 1” to 2” wider. Use potting mix with good drainage and lots of perlite or similar aggregate. Consider getting a moss pole to keep in the sprawl. This variety spreads like a weed.
