Anyone use cinnamon to combat gnats in the soil?

    Helps a little? I find cinnamon most useful for applying to “wounds” when propping to prevent rot/disease etc

    Maybe helped a little the one time I tried it, what I found works best is a combo of sticky traps that you can stick right in the plant pot on a stake to catch the adults and then soak mosquito bits in water and then water the soil with that (it has BTI in it which kills the larvae)

      This is the best way to get rid of them without introducing predators

      Mosquito bits? What are these? I haven’t heard of them

      They contain BTI, a bacteria that kills some insect larvae like mosquitos and fungus gnats

    Cinnamon is mostly antibacterial and antifungal, really a stretch to hope for real results on bugs

    I found that it makes the house smell nice but that's about it.
