Hello! Recently my fiddle leaf ficus has started dropping leaves and I’m not sure why. It just got one new big one so I thought it was fine but literally every leaf has just started dying and falling off.

I'd say it's getting too much sun and not enough water. The same happened to mine when I put it next to the windows. They love bright indirect light. Remove the dying leaves and with a sharp blace since right on top of the leaf nodes. This will make the plant create new leaves. I added a picture of where you should cut.
1 mi piaceIt looks very dry based on the crispy look of the leaves and the soil pulling away from the pot. Soil pulling away from the sides of the pot allows water to drain out between the gap and miss most of the soil. The top soil looks wet, water drains through, but, water miss most of the root ball. Bottom watering by letting the pot sit in water until the top of the soil is moist. Remove the pot from the standing water and throughly let it drain. The gap should close between the soil and the pot after a couple of deep soakings. Another possibility is low humidity especially if home heaters are running. Add a humidifier, if needed after checking the humidity in the air. The plant getting moved to a new location can cause all the leaves to drop. Ficus plants are picky about relocating even in the same room. Leaves usually come back once they settle in the new location. 🍀🪴
