Is this root rotting? If so, why? It’s a new root and it hasn’t been overwatered. It’s a moth orchid. Thanks so much!

    The other comment is probably correct about posting on the other board, but I think it looks a bit dehydrated (the root next to it isn’t as bad but somewhat similar). Assuming you aren’t ‘under’ watering it (or using the popular ice method which can stress it), what are your humidity levels? That section is essentially an ‘air root’ (but since it dips into the medium further down, I don’t know how that might effect it 🤷🏻‍♀️)
