Still new to plant parenting! My variegated monstera standleyana has one lower leaf that turned yellow over the weekend. For the past few weeks it has been showing new growth like crazy considering it was propagating in water just a couple months ago. I came into work today and now the edge of the yellow leaf is browning but the little leaf on the left just popped out today. This pot doesn’t have a drainage hole so I know that is an immediate issue but it’s just weird that everything but that one leaf is doing great. Any ideas or recommendations?

It may just be because it looks below the soil line, and is older. I'd just remove it. And inspect for any pests. I wouldn't be too worried if it's popping new growth

Plants will often shed old leaves especially as in this case a new leaf is growing. It would rather put the resources into the new growth.

I knowwwww I don’t know why this really expensive plant store even sells them to be honest. I figured with it starting off as a propagation I could buy myself some time 🤦‍♀️

I’ve been caught by it before too a never ends well after a while and you end up having to fix the roots! Though weirdly I have one rubber plant that only likes its horrible original pot with no drainage. 🤷‍♀️

You could do the pot in a pot method. Or drill a hole in the bottom. I’ve done it many times. But special drill bit needed for ceramic.
