Help! Got this pilea about a week ago i noticed it had fungus gnats flying over it i panicked and even tho i watered it the same day i got it i repotted it and watered it again with mosquito bits like 3 days later. Is it overwatering even when i changed the soil? It’s drooping a bit and black random spots on leaves :( or is it fungal? I read if it is i have to cut the leaves befor eit spreads! Im new to plants 😭

I wouldn’t stress too much about the fungus gnats. They’re a nuisance but they don’t damage the plant at all. I use a Neem oil solution to get rid of any eggs in the soil (just follow the instructions on the bottle) and I can see you already have a sticky trap to kill the adults :) It could just be that the plant is a bit stressed from moving into your house. I would leave it alone for a week or so to see if that changes anything while it gets settled. After that if you’re still worried maybe inspect the roots to check for any rot and cut it off if there is any. Good luck!

I inspected the roots while repotting it they looked neat, i stressed about the gnats cause i only have one window and all my other new plants were in the same spot i was scared of them laying eggs everywhere :((( but yes i did spray neem oil on the base and the leaves and BTI tea once to all my plants and yellow stickers :) thanks for the answer

One extra watering isn’t gonna kill it so don’t stress too much about that. Just make sure you’re consistently using the bti with every watering for every plant and they’ll eventually go away
