Not sure what’s going on with my prayer plant. He’s been curled up for a few days now. I did give him some more water but, no changes. Help!!

Hi! Was the soil dry when you watered it?
0 Me gustaJust on the top.
0 Me gustaOk. I had this happen with my prayer plant and I was overwatering. I started making sure the soil was pretty dry - like down past the first tip of my finger before I water again. I also put her in a terrarium and she’s thriving now.
5 Me gustaIn my experience it means it getting to much sun, my rattlesnake plant (Goeppertia insignis) also a prayer plant rolled up like that when in direct sun I moved it to a slightly darker area and it was much happier.
2 Me gustaMakes sense, It’s placed right at the window and it’s been so hot. Thank You!!! I will definitely move him ASAP!
2 Me gustaMine really likes bright light without any sun actually touching it. I have mine in a north facing window and it loves it there.
3 Me gustaIt may need more humidity, my calathea does this when the air is super dry
2 Me gustaThanks everyone, will Definitely take all your tips

prayer plants curl their leaves when stressed, it could be a variety of causes. it’s hard to know for sure without more details, but the comments above provided some potential options
1 me gustaMy prayer plant has been doing the same thing. Prayer plants are tropical plants so they need very high humidity. I recommend misting your prayer plant every day or every other day. I learned that when you mist the leaves, make sure to dab off some of the extra water because it can lead to color loss on the leaves overtime. Especially if you are going to mist it everyday.
2 Me gustaInteresting I didn’t know this. I wonder if this is why mine has been having color issues 😳
0 Me gustaIt could be, I didn’t know this until yesterday and I was also surprised by it!
