hi everyone! i’m a rather new plant parent and i got this red prayer plant not too long ago (maybe 2 months?). it’s honestly been doing pretty great! it unfurls new leaves pretty regularly, but i can’t help noticing the a lot of the leaves’ edges are wrinkly and some are browned. there’s really no other issues i can see. i often put it outside when it’s warm enough to get better light (not in direct light of course). i just really want this plant to thrive! a parent shouldn’t have favorites… but this one is my fave🥺

I have the same one and I love it to death and mine was like it at one point and I just made sure it was in a super humid and warm spot and had a lot of water and that seems to fix it I had to move it to my bathroom. I think it can also be from the winter season if it’s winter where you are it is where I am .

The spots on yours seem a little worrying maybe make sure it’s not rust fungus just in case

Most likely a humidity issue. Yep you may need a new plant accessory-a room size humidifier. And another accessory-a hydrometer to measure the humidity. It could have to do with your water too. They often don’t like tap water. Especially water with lime. Not a lime wedge😀but the mineral. You may need another accessory-a water filter. Alright it’s late. I’ve been watering plants cause just got back from being gone a week. Over 60 plants are screaming at me, and I’ve just started my third glass of wine.

haha thank you for your input! tap water is pretty good where i live (NC) but i will try using filtered instead! i didn’t even think of it, but humidity would definitely be a main issue with being inside. i’ve heard placing the plant on a bed of water and pebbles may also help increase humidity, (not necessarily *in* the water). is that true?

      Yes that would definitely help.
