My golden pathos has had some problems ever since I switched its pot. It’s made of porcelain and the bottom does not come off, but I can easily dump the water out when there’s buildup at the bottom. This plant was in a basket with no drainage and once I switched over to this pot leafs started turning yellow and I’ve lost about seven so far. It’s about 2 feet away from one window and 12 feet away from the other window so it has a mid range of lighting, not too much not too little. I need HELP on what to do!!

My pot is 8 inches high… Should I make it bigger in the description?

This happened to one of my pothos! Sometimes even tho repotting it is super necessary (which is sounds like it was in your case) it still shocks the plant (even w/ the best conditions!). In my experience when this happened to mine, I ended up cutting all the vines off and let it essentially “start over” to grow stronger and healthier vines. Just a suggestion! You could even propagate the vines you cut and create a new plant or even add it back to the same plant once it grows some roots!

Also here’s what mine looks like since doing that, it’s so much fuller/healthier now!

What kind of soil did you use to repot it? It may need more drainage (added perlite).

What about clay balls? Would that help… I have those

Personally, I dislike MG bc it keeps the soil too moist. Yes, clay balls will help (they are better than nothing) but I usually mix perlite even with the clay balls when I have used them. I have also poked chop sticks to aerate the soil.
