My friend found a worm living in the soil with her monstera… is this bad for the plant?

    If it’s an earthworm. No. That’s a good sign. They help improve the nutrients and good bacteria in the soil.

    You’d want to make sure it’s an earthworm and not some type of insect larvae! Earthworms are cool, insect larvae… not so much

    I have never found an earthworm in any of my houseplants, not that it's impossible but I have never found one. This leaves the other alternative some type of larvae. If it's a worm that has legs it could be a millipede which are not a problem for the plant.

      Same! A friend of mine got a plant with a baby geico and didn’t see it until he got home! He’s super cute but idk why I never find neat prizes in my plants :(
