Hello yall! I’d like you to start off by saying I’m not great with leafy plants. I excel at succulents and cacti. I don’t even know what plant this is but I’ve been trying to water it more than my others and then realized that I might have been watering it too much. I left it alone for a little and now two of the leaves are yellow. It seems to only be the smaller leaves and I cant tell if its new growth or old. What do yall think is the cause?

It’s a monstera plant and it could be yellowing due to overwatering or just the older leaves naturally dying off for new growth how’s your soil?

I’m not sure. I had just got it not too long ago and didn’t want to mess with the roots until it was stable. I did notice that the roots were packed in and I could see them at the top. I thought it was a monstera but it didn’t seem like deliciosa. Should I get a moss pole for my pretty plant?

I haven’t checked. I put a wooden stake carefully into the pot to the bottom and found the soil dry so I watered it. once it soaks up some more water ill check. Do you have any advice on watering?
