Why are some of the leaves on my ZZ plant turning light green? There’s also one leaf that is two toned, light green and brown?

Hmm soil looks pretty dark. Is there proper drainage in that pot?

I hope so there’s a pretty good size hole on the bottom of the pot.

I meant there is a hole in the nursery pot. The pink pot is just for show. The plant is in a nursery pot and I have a little plastic tray to catch any water

My guess is that at some point, some water sat in the tray for too long and the rhizome rotted for that section. You can pull it out - the rest should still divide on their own

this looks like overwatering. is your pot plastic? how often are you watering?

I only watered it once because I just got it from the nursery. It’s still in its nursery pot and probably needs to be repotted. I notice the water pooling at the top when I was watering it. So if it this is due to overwatering, what should I expect to happen now? Will those leaves forever be that color?

yes, you can cut that leaf off. i would repot into clay — these want to dry allll the way out and start relying a bit on their rhizomes before getting more water.

Should I cut it at the end of the leaf or the main stem where multiple leaves are growing from?

as close to the soil as you can. the “stem” is called the rachis, the “leaves” are technically leaflets, and together they comprise a compound leaf. some nerdy plant knowledge for ya lol
