Need some advice. Brand new plant (colocasia black ruffles) and she is not doing well. I just purchased her and she came to me very sad, but over 24 hours she looks worse. She’s in a plastic pot, soil unknown, on top of a tray of water for humidity. Bright, indirect light all day a few ft from the window. Her leaf I took a picture of is crispy and shriveling. The other two look oookkk for now. Very wilty. Update: I did water with Luke-warm facet water (don’t have distilled rn) since her soils was damp, closer to dry side. Any ideas what’s wrong? Thank you!

Hmm from the photo, the soil looks dry. These guys like water and humidity so try giving it a water and regularly spray the leaves and stem for additional moisture. My house is very dry and this helps with my tropical plants.

I gave it water and it perked up within like 15 minutes. Leaf still looks rough, guessing I can’t undo crispy. I will mist daily and it’s in the bathroom enjoying the humidity post-shower.

That’s a good sign! Even if this leaf doesn’t last I would think a new leaf will come soon from the other stem :) the rest of your set up is perfect, good luck!
