Hi! New plant person here. My monstera deliciosa seems happy- she just pushed out a double fenestrated leaf that is fabulous. A week later I noticed one of her bottom leaves turning super yellow… she’s right in a north facing window. I am careful to not overwater and she doesn’t have pests. We are in a heat wave and she is next to my floor air conditioner vents so I’m wondering if that could impact? Anyway take a peek at the picture and drop your thoughts. I appreciate your insight!!

The air conditioner can definitely impact her. Sometimes the small lower leaves (oldest on the plant) will yellow and die. It’s just the natural progression of the plant maturing.

Oh wow! She’s beautiful!! I agree with Amie above, after I repotted my monstera, the bottom leaf yellowed and I just cut it off and all was well. I know my mini monstera is next to and air vent and it did not like it, so I covered the vent and she was happy again. Hope everything stays healthy and you get more beautiful new growth from her!

I think it’s just doing its thing, because both my monsteras did this after a repot. They have both given new leaves with double fenastrations and lost one leaf on the bottom that was a smaller leaf.
