Please help. I went from having a beautiful and thriving peacock plant to these drooping, leggy leaves that are yellowing and browning. I didn’t change anything about location or watering/fertilizer so I have no idea what’s wrong.

What type of water do you have? My water has a lot of calcium mineral buildup from the limestone bedrock. Peacock plants normally like more acidic water like in a rainforest. I’ve noticed my peacock has brown, dry spots bc of it and I switched to distilled water for my more sensitive plants.

I second this. My Calathea do really well with filtered water and then. I add a few drops of fish tank water conditioner.

      Thank you! I’ll try that.

Sometimes it takes a few weeks for a problem to show. It could be the water. If using the proper water, then it could be humidity. Do you use A/C? Has it been running a lot more because of hot weather? Because the A/C dries out the air. And if you mist, use the proper water for that also. And if the plant is really looking bad, you can trim it to the soil. They grow back quickly, as long as you meet their needs.
