I was about to water my arrowhead plant until I noticed that one leaf had soft and sort of brown area on it. I wondering if this could be root rot? I also wanted to note that this arrowhead does need to be repotted since it not only has two of it in one pot but they’re both getting very big. Should I hold off on repotting so I don’t cause anymore stress to it or should I look further at the roots to see if it has root? Or I should I not be worried at all? I would be surprised if it had root rot since I try to wait as long as I can until the soil is close to or is completely dry.

Definitely remove that leaf so it doesn't travel to the rest of the plant. If you suspect root rot, you had best check immediately so you have time to save your babe. Gently repotting will help your plant survive shock if your roots look healthy. I would still wash the roots in a 1/2 mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water just in case. I wish you luck!

Agree to remove the leaf. I wouldn’t wait to repot and I wouldn’t panic, sounds like you’re a very attentive plant parent and smart with watering. It’s not likely root rot based on what you told us. If there’s two of them in there that have grown significantly, could be things are just crowded downstairs. A little repot refresh will probably do it good.

One more question though, should I water it, regardless of the risk of root rot or creating more damage? I planned to hold off until I got the replies back on my post.
