My Alocasia has had some spotting. I can’t tell if it’s suffering from root damage or if it’s ready to go dormant. Any advice? đŸƒđŸŒ±

    you can damage petioles by tying them like that! but this is transplant shock. in really good conditions, alocasia never go dormant. even if this were dormancy it wouldn't be natural, alocasias go dormant in response to cold temps and lower light and it's too early in the year for that, and they also do it as an acute stress response. but that's not what yours is doing so it's fine lol
