Hello. I was hoping someone could help me figure out what is wrong with this plant and if it is beyond help. It’s been staying alive for about half a year like this and I have tried everything I can but I don’t know what to do. Can it be saved?

I am not an expert but I would put it in a much smaller pot. I’m sure others can weigh in with more ideas…
2 gillningarI agree. Treat it as a starter seedling and put it in a plastic pot about half the size of the small pot. Change the soil to a lighter blend with lots of perlite. The current soil looks spent and muddy.
1 gillaI can see why you want to save it.. it is very cute. In the past, I was always guilty of putting plants in pots that are too big for the root system. Does the water you use have a lot of lime in it? I have started to use distilled water for many plants. Don’t give up!
0 gillningarThank you um should I repot it now? Or wait for spring? It’s super cold where I am so it might take a while for the temperature to warm up. But if I wait do u think it would die?
0 gillningarOk thanks I’ll start with that. But I was wondering if the fuzzy part could be hurting the plant because it used to be pretty big, like 8 inches in diameter but then it just started getting really small.
0 gillningarSounds like a root problem to me. Check the roots, remove any mushy roots, smaller pot, well draining soil and hope for the best. For myself, I don't tolerate ugly very well. If my plant is not performing, out it goes. My space is too limited for ugly.
