I’m noticing some yellowing on some of the leaves of my cast iron. I’m not even sure if it’s yellowing, or the leaves just lightening. It’s also putting out tons of new growth. Are the leaves just lightening from its proximity to the window? Are some of older leaves dying off to make way for all the new ones? I have it in a partial sunny place and I only water when the top of the soil is dry.

I will note it seems to be leaning a bit. Is this normal? Does it need support from a trellis or something?

Aspidistra plants don’t always stay upright. They are usually not placed on a trellis.

Several leaves are yellowing and could be an indication of too low light or too much water. I recommend moving it closer to get brighter indirect light. Let the soil dry out more before watering.

It sits in a windowsill of an east facing window so I may have to relocate to another room.
