Can anyone help with what’s going on with some of my plants? There’s these yellow/brown spots on some of the leaves and I’m not sure what’s happening. It doesn’t look like there’s any pests (to my novice eyes) and I’m watering according to plantas schedules and they have been doing very well and growing a lot. But maybe over the last month I’ve started to notice these spots and I’m not sure what’s up. Both of these plants are in an east facing window that’s gets a lot of direct sun in the first half of the day.

could be a sign of overwatering/root rot. have you checked the roots or repotted lately?

The roots look healthy to me, but the pothos has a lot of roots and maybe needs a repot? But I repotted it in July, could it already need another repot? It had kind of exploded in growth so I’m not sure. The philodendron has been much slower growing but consistent.

it could be in need of nutrients? have you tried fertilizing ?? if you’ve fertilized recently i would guess that it’s burned from the fertilizer, otherwise if you’re saying the roots are abundant- it could be lack of nutrients. & are you sure you’ve ruled out pests? yellow spots are so tough to diagnose.. i wish plants could talk 😭

could you still potentially be overwatering despite plantas schedule?? you’re supposed to check the soil before watering & tell planta if you’re snoozing the watering because the soils still wet… then planta will learn from your habits.. i had to learn that the hard way !!
