And the last question: is the bird of paradise doing ok? The very edges started browning and some leaves have weird texture on them.

Honestly your bird of paradise looks pretty healthyfor the most part. She is alot bigger then mines that’s forsure! I would say the browing edges could be a combination of, watering, humidity and lightning. I can’t excatly pin point if the leafs are drooping or if they are just that big! For the texture I have no idea. But what I do know is, curled inward leafs indicates water loss, due to excess heat/ overexposure to sunlight. If the leaves are curling and point downward, they’re likely drooping, due to excess watering. The splitting usually caused by low humidity. When was the last time she was repotted? How moist of the soil? When was the last time she was watered? You mist her or treat her for pest regularly?
1 j'aimeDear Noble, thank you so much for all the information you provided. The soil shows moist so I had to skip the watering this week. I have created a humidity tray under the plant so he should get plenty of humidity throughout the day. I spray neem oil and wipe with special gloves to remove the dust. I am thinking of repotting the plant in the near future. Once again thank you!
0 J'aimeNo problem, I'm glad I could help! I think its a good idea to skip watering this week, underwatering is easier to fix than overwatering 😅. The humidity tray is perfect! Also, love the spraying down with neem oil and wiping them with special gloves!
