I woke up and found a bunch of white stuff in the soil of my succulent. I use the succulent soil from Miracle-Gro. Does anyone know what this is? The plant is healthy otherwise (at least for now). Should I be concerned?

It could be mold or fungus. Make sure to not overwater and have good airflow. I find the Miracle Grow Cactus blend to be a little too dense and I always add additional perlite to it.

0 LikesYes, I agree with Thai Jade. Miracle Grow Succulent is not good on its own. Needs to be much grittier, which you can supplement. This is the soil I mixed up for some grapteveria cuttings. With faster drainage you will have less problem with overwatering and fungus.

0 LikesTo look at my soil mix, it’s hard to believe it’s what is best, but it is.
